Other Services

From piping in the haggis at a Burns Supper to welcoming home Scotland’s Olympians with a full pipe band, Piping Services has it covered.

Burns Suppers

Running from January through to March, every ‘Burns season’ at Piping Services Scotland we provide services from a Lone Piper on arrival, through to the whole night’s entertainment.

Robert Burns, Scotland’s national bard boasts the second most sung song after Happy Birthday, and arguably the most commemorated person of the last millennium. Let’s do this properly!

A ‘Full Burns Supper’ is a very rich and in-depth night, and generally is reserved to can suit Sports and Social Clubs, large organisations and Burns Clubs themselves. Prior to the industry awards dinners now, Piping Services Scotland hosted an annual Burns Supper for the Wedding Industry.

Mostly we provide lighter versions of this though. A full Burns Supper can include:

Piper on arrival
Pipe in Top table
Pipe in Haggis

Speeches and Recitals Including:
‘Address to the Haggis’
‘Immortal Memory’ of the Bard
‘Toast to the Lassies’
‘Reply to the Toast to the Lassies’
The Chairperson to keep everything together
Recital of ‘Tam O’Shanter’
Recital of ‘Holy Willie’s Prayer’
Auld Lang Syne to draw the night to a close

This would be very difficult if the audience wasn’t Scottish to provide the whole selection. Frequently we would provide the Bagpiper to welcome, lead in and ‘Address the Haggis’, but if you wish anything in-between, just ask.

We can happily add in other performers to create the entertainment for your celebration:

Pianist – mellower than a piper, easier for someone to sing to!
Singer – To sing Burns songs by the piano of course!
Guitar – If piano isn’t your ‘thing’
Harpist – Lovely for when you’re eating.
Ceilidh – Shindig afterwards?
Folk Group – If you’re too full to dance!

Gala Days, Fetes, & Parades (also Marathons and Fun-Runs)

Frequently we provide musicians for a range of community events.

From solo pipers at the mile or kilometre markers at running, walking and cycling events, to leading the flats down the road at Gala Days and everything in-between!

Band sizes would be defined but we offer:
Mini Band 8-12 members
Full Pipe Band around 20 members
Massed Band 2 or more Full Pipe Bands
